For most of our projects, we bill by the hour for time spent by our team on your hiring project. We offer three levels of partnerships (please note: these budget estimates do not include posting budgets):
Boost my search package:
$3000- $5000
We take on a limited number of these projects where we work with a client to:
Facilitate an intake process to learn more about the job
Provide review and revisions to your job description to incorporate DEI best practices and make it recruiting!
Propose a job posting plan from our extensive list of sites, google groups, and listservs;
Post the job widely on job boards, google groups, and listservs;
Helping to building a diverse, talented, and sizable candidate pool through outreach to potential candidates through our network and Linkedin candidate searching and outreach;
Building your candidate pool through outreach and calls with like-minded organizations and contacts to generate ideas and more visibility.
Classic hiring package:
$9,000- $12,000
This is our most popular package. With this partnership, we not only help bring boost your applications and bring in a diverse and larger group of applicants, but we also take time- intensive work off your plates, handle application review and the first round of phone interviews, facilitate hiring decisions in the early stages, bring DEI best practices to your search, and communicate with candidates.
Starting with an intake process to learn more about the job, the types of candidates you are looking for, the details we need to know, and to start to map out an ideal interview process;
Drafting and editing job descriptions, designed to recruit strong candidates and incorporating strong DEI best practices;
Developing a job posting plan from our extensive list of sites, google groups, and listservs;
Posting the role widely on job boards and listservs;
Creating recruitment materials, including: sample social media posts, outreach email and talking points on the job; criteria docs for effectively evaluating candidates; and phone screen questions;
Outreach to potential candidates through our network and through linkedin candidate searches;
Outreach and setting up calls with like-minded organizations and contacts for candidate leads;
Reviewing applications;
Conducting initial phone interviews and facilitating decision making early in the process
Implementing DEI best practice throughout your search;
Communicating with candidates throughout the process;
Sending declines;
Strategizing and offer consult around the direction of the search.
Ultimate hiring package:
$13,000- $22,000
This package is recommended for clients who anticipate a challenging/ time-intensive search AND need our support at the later stages in the search. Searches that fall in that higher range tend to require higher budgets due to a few factors, including: if you need significant help in the final stages of the process, how challenging a role it is to fill, if the search is national or international in scope (which can results in hundreds of applications which requires even more time!), and how senior and specialized the position is.
This package includes ALL of the services in our Classic package (see above) plus:
Drafting interview questions for all stages in the process;
Helping draft and finalize a candidate exercise in your process
Facilitating decision calls at each step in the process
Making reference calls
Other support as needed

We can work with you to find a plan which works within your budget after hearing more. Rooted Edge Consulting has a commitment to working with mission-driven organizations and we know many nonprofits are functioning on tight budgets and working hard to bring in funding. We do our best to keep our searches as reasonable as we can to allow us to work with a wide range of nonprofits with important missions and at varying sizes.
